Bathroom Time!

Ok, Peoples..... It's been a while since I have posted anything on here and all I have is a couple pictures of the guest bathroom. The picture on the left is the wall that you seen when you first come into the bathroom. I am using 3 different materials and all three are different thickness which is adding depth to the walls. The picture on the right is of the shower/bath area. I should be done with this part in about a week! This is taking a long time! UGH.... Hope you are enjoying the photos as much as I am enjoying the process......

Getting Closer

Ok, worked on my kitchen today. It's getting closer! Think it's actually starting to look like a kitchen. Not all the doors are on and the skins for the cabinets will be put on just before the countertops go on.

Kitchen Update

OK, last night I put the bottom half kitchen cabinets in just to see what it is going to look like. Getting excited for it to be done. All the cabinets will be the same height. It doesn't show that in the pictures because I don't have the legs on some of them. Also, the cabinet that is not even with the other ones will move forward a bit but the drain pipe for the kitchen sink in in the floor and I didn't feel like cutting a hole for that quite yet. So, here is the preview. Going to put the upper cabinets in the weekend and hook up the kitchen sink. It has been hell living without a kitchen sink for about a week now.

Go Diamondbacks! Oooops, it didn't work.

My friend Dan and I went to the 2nd game of The Diamondbacks/Rockies. The seats were great about 8 rows from the field! It was a fun time but the Diamondbacks lost.

This made me think!

Ok, this was just a funny pic, I won't say why. I was looking through pictures on the internet and this made me laugh until I started to cry.

Slowly but Surely

Ok, it's kind of hard to see and not such a good photo, but the wall in the kitchen is done! And, more of the tile has been put down.

Barcelona The WonderDOG!

Ok, I am becoming one of those owner who dresses up their dogs! UGH

Yankee Stadium Was More Than Expected.

Saturday night, Mom and I went to Yankee Stadium to watch the Yanks and the Cleveland Indians play in the ALDS. The Yanks pulled it off with a victory. The seats were great, the weather was perfect and this is what baseball is all about in October. During the 7th inning stretch, a guy (think mr. Roland or something like that) sang God Bless America and he sent chills through my body. It was truly amazing. He was the same guy that sang when the Yanks were in the World Series after 911.

Some days, you get shit on!

While mom was getting some golden weiner, I was getting shit on. NOT FAIR!

Mom got some Cock in New York! (Wish I did, lol)

Yep, mom took it like a woman on a mission! We saw these huge statues and made mom "violate" it. Check out the lady passing bye, she was shocked.

Momma got a new pair (or 3) of shoes!

Well,

I just got back from New York with my mom and we had a great time! It was very full and didn't really have time to do the "tourist" thing but we got a few things in. FI loved all the shows we went to, Legally Blonde, Avenue Q and Hairspray! Think mom was a little freaked out about Avenue Q. For those who haven't seen it, it's a bit politcally incorrect. It was my favorite! We went to the Yankees game and they pulled through for us that night with an 8 to 4 victory! We also took a ride through Central Park but got a raw deal cuz the bike driver had just moved to New York from Turkey 2 weeks prior and didn't really tell us all about the park. He knew about some statues but that's it. He was a nice guy though. I really wanted a hot guy, but he did ok. I was not able to get mom into the spa because of time but I did get her a few pairs of new shoes and she got a pedicure. I was able to get Mom 3 pairs of new shoes that will give her better support. She about croaked that the bill was about $300 but thought it was a good price for good shoes. On the last day we ate at Tavern on the Green. Food was good! I ordered a special cake for Mom for dessert that said "I love you Mom" but they forgot to give it to us after eating. Our waiter came up and offered it to us then. Mom did get a few bites of it in the hotel room but 96% of it went to waste. After eating, we went on a cruise around Manhattan. It was nice but thought it was a bit too long. I was definitely tired 1 hour into it of the 2 hour tour. Glad we were pressed for time and couldn't do the 3 hour tour!

The Dust Rules!

I don't mind all the construction, but the dust is getting out of hand. I feel like I am the Coal Miners Daughter, I mean son. Take a look at The Foo Dog, it's covered in dust. I can dust and the next day, everything is dirty again.

Livingroom Update!

OK, so it has taken longer than expected but the living room floor is almost done. The slate has been put down and grouted but I still have a sealer to put on it. This is going to make the floor shiny.

Bathroom Floor DONE!

The Bathroom Floor is DONE. I am so excited. I think it looks great. Looking forward to getting the rest of the bathroom done!

The tile is here! The tiles is here.

Come Back Post.

Ok, I hope my come back is better than Britney Spears's comeback at the VMA's earlier this week. I received about 4 emails recently that started out the same way...... I keep checking your blog for updates, but you haven't written anything in a long time. So, here you all go. Going to give you an update and hope to keep you all caught up on what's going on with me.

The last photos are what the kitchen area looked like before and the blue and green are the new colors for the kitchen and the cabinets are there with the blue front. The first few photos are during the remodeling.
Ok, well, as all of you know, Tyson and I went to Nikki's wedding. Tyson and I got to the airport with about 90 minutes to make our flight. We go to the airport and I forgot to print out our boarding passes at home, so we had to wait in line to print thyem out. I have never seen a line so long. Geez. Well, when we got 20 feet from the kiosk, we looked at the monitors and it showed that all flight was already boarding. UGH... We were going to miss our flight. We haven't even went through security. My stomach was starting to churn. Damn, I knew I should have taken a few xanex. Well, we got our boarding passes and heading up stairs to go through security. The line was LONG! No way were we going to make it. It was already 20 minutes past the time of boarding. We got through security and now it was 35 to 40 minutes since we saw the monitor showing our flight was boarding. For some reason, I told Tyson we should run to our gate. Of course our gate was the furthest away from security. We took off running and we got about 50 feet from the gate and heard on the speakers that it was LAST call for the flight for Reno! We started running faster and we got on the plane. Before we could even sit down, they shut the door to the plane. WE MADE IT! I think I even had tears in my eyes. What a stress reliever.

Ok, we got to Reno, got out fabulous car and checked into the hotel. Wow, it was very nice. We went downstairs to the casino floor and gambled a bit. LOST! Wasn't fun.

I noticed that the camera I had brought for Ken and Dawnell was not good so we stopped by Circuit City and bought them a new Camera.

We got in the car and drove to Fallon! What a nice drive. A convertible car, great sunny weather and a beautiful scenic drive. It was nice. We got to Fallon and everyone was there. I can't believe it. I was seeing all my siblings, mom, aunt and nieces more than once a year. It was great. We all got ready for the wedding and headed to it. The wedding was nice and short and we headed to the reception. A cute little boy named Gage rode with me in the convertible. We was great. The reception started and it was almost time for Tyson and I to leave and I still hadn't met my sister's new husband or any of his family. So, I told Nikki and she introduced us and as we were talking (10 seconds in) someone else came up and he started talking to them.

Tyson and I left and drove back to Reno.

Ok, So my house finally closed and I started doing the remodeling right away. So much for planning everything. I ordered the new kitchen cabinets, the flooring, new kitchen appliances, paint. I ripped out all the old flooring (not in the same day!) and the cabinets. It looks like my house is post Hurricane Katrina! I can't believe that I am living this way. Hopefully the floor will be put down in the dining, livingroom, kitchen and bathroom and the marble put up on the walls in the bathroom this weekend. After that, I should be able to put up the kitchen cabinets. I am getting closer to having a livable house.

Work is going very well! I am having a great time and enjoy every minute of what I do. I have gone to California (Los Angeles) to help my boss's dad pick colors for a multi-million dollar house they are building in the hills just north of LA and help my boss's mom design her new kitchen. What a beautiful house they have in Beverly Hills.

A couple days ago, I invited my mom to join me in New York for the weekend in October. We are going to go to 3 Shows, Legally Blonde, Avenue Q and Hairspray. We are staying at a great place in Manhattan close to the shows, Central Park and Times Square. I am very excited! Both Mom and I need a vacation!

Last but not least, Tyson and I are no longer together. Don't want to answer questions about it and I am not devistated or anything like that. I just think I am too selfish to be with anyone. I think God sent us hear to learn a lesson. I think my lesson was to learn to love myself. My entire life I just wanted to be loved and would do anything for it. I was so focused on making everyone else happy and making sure that they felt loved that I forgot about the most important person, me. So, I have learned over the past few years to love myself. I enjoy the person that I am and know that my self worth is not judge based on my job, what car I drive, the clothes I wear or whether or not I am with someone. Just because I am not with someone, doesn't mean that I am not a good person. So, I finally have found the love I was looking for, it is the love that I have for myself.

It's always something!

OK, I know it has been a long time since I have logged in and updated my blog. Why? Well, probably cuz I am too lazy, I don't have anything to add or I just don't have the time. Actually, I wanted to get all my birthday photos up and stuff like that but guess those will come later.
Another major purchase occurred for the house! It was one that was highly unexpected but a necessary one. The A/C unit went out! Yep, it needed to be completely replaced. I was referred to a guy from Ron (my boss) who helped him out for one of our properties. I was quoted $8500.00. I about crapped my pants. But, what do you do? Have to replace it. So, I came into work and Ron made a call and he got the price reduced to $7800. It's still a lot but it at least I am getting a new a/c unit and shouldn't have to worry about it for quite some time!
Tyson and I are getting ready to head to Fallon for Nikki's wedding. We booked our hotel in Reno. We, meaning I, thought it would be too much to handle staying at Nikki's house with everyone there! Plus, we can't gamble at the house. Pray that I win $7800 gambling to pay for the a/c unit.
What else did I get for the house?: A leather sectional, new entertainment center, floor lights, ceiling fan and think that's it.
OK, work is busy and so I am going to end this post until further notice.
Thanks for reading it. More to come.

We've Got Lighting!

OK, today I got the chandelier that is going to hang above the fireplace in the guest bathroom! I think it is going to look amazing! See, it is already starting to look like a French Whore House! Well, I have never seen one, but I think this is what kind of light they would have in it.

More to Come.................

Just to keep you updated, there will be A LOT more to be written about my birthday and a lot of photos to show you what a great time I and my guests had. THANK YOU ALL for making this birthday one of the best ever!

13 Hours and 38 Minutes to Go!

Ha! HA! HA! Not really counting the minutes to old age! Just thought it was funny.

13 Hours and 48 Minutes to Go!

Could this be the end? My body is aching, my mind is leaving me and it seems that yesterday was the same as the day before. I pinch myself and I know I am still here. The stress of work still comes every day. The bills still come in the mail. People are not crying nor are they wearing black. Hmmmm, I know I am not dying, but what is going on? OH, I KNOW WHAT! I am getting OLDER, tomorrow is MY birthday! Yep, it's all about me tomorrow (well, EVERYDAY should be about me)! And with all those warm birthday wishes, come wrinkles, stiff joints and in only 21 more years, senior citizen discounts! YIPPEE! Ok, that just made me laugh!

Why is Happiness Stressful?

Ok, today David and I went to Chicago Title when we signed a Quit Deed which means I own a house! I OWN A HOUSE! It's an amazing feeling but very stressful. I guess I am growing up. I am living the American dream! It's crazy. It was such a wonderful day for me but was sad to see David upset. He did say a lot of stress has been lifted from him. It seems like just yesterday that I was just a kid living day by day with no worries in the world. Things are definitely changing and I am excited about it. I sent a text message to a lot of my friends and looks like we are going to have a good turnout for my birthday dinner next Wednesday. As you may know, I don't like to make a big deal of my birthday but I want this year to be different! I have learned to value my friends and they mean the world to me! I am excited. My back is still sore but things are getting better! Well, that's all folks.

Who Needs a Lower Back Anyway?

Well, truth is setting in and I am getting older. I have tried to ignore all the signs that have come up in the past (My sister Michelle pointing out the lines and wrinkles on my face! ~ Plastic surgery set for late August!, Kidding) but this one, I cannot ignore. When I was at work Wednesday, I threw my back out. Very stupid. I was trying to put two pieces of a sectional together when my back popped! OUCH! So, I was laid up in bed for a couple days.
I did get out of the house briefly yesterday when Tyson and I went to see "All Shook Up" a Broadway musical at ASU Gammage! VERY CHEESY. I think one of the performers was a transsexual. OK, she really wasn't, but it sure looked like it. She was funny. There was something about her. Tyson thought that she was drunk, I thought she was stoned. During her solo performance, she couldn't hold it together. She kept laughing. Anyway, the show was oddly entertaining and it was good to get out of bed. We met one of Tyson's good friends and her boyfriend. There were great; I really enjoyed the both of them. Afterwards Tyson and I went to dinner. YUM. Last night was a quiet evening in, of course! Just the way I like it.
Before the show, Tyson and I went to Z Gallery where we found a lot of cool stuff that we are going to get to decorate our home after the remodel. The beautiful guest bathroom seemed to take a turn from a love Paris theme to a Paris brothel theme. I bought the huge picture of the Eiffel tower that is going on one of the walls and the fireplace. While at Z Gallery, we saw a beautiful crystal chandelier that is going to hang about fireplace! OMG!, this is going to be a typical GAY home! YIKES!
I am going to try to include more photos of before and after of the home.
Oh, last night Tyson and I booked out tickets to see his brother in Las Vegas the weekend after the 4th of July AND we booked our plane tickets to Nikki's wedding. It's going to be a quick trip but at least we will be there for the wedding. We get in around 9:30am the day of the wedding and leave around 10AM on Sunday! This marriage better last cuz it's costing us us almost a $1000 for a trip that is just a bit over 24 hours in length.
Well, that ends this entry! Back to watching TV and enjoying the relaxation of a lazy Sunday!

Chicken noodle soup for one!

Tyson is sick and it might be the flu! Send your prayers for a speedy recovery. Damn, I miss him and hope he gets well soon so I can see him!

We do learn something every day.

Today when I got home from work I noticed that I received a wedding invitation to my sister Nikki's wedding. I read the invitation and noticed at the bottom that they were asking for money instead of gifts. Why were people that have money asking for money? Do poor people really have poor taste? Just thought that was weird. The next thing that I noticed that the wedding was being held in a park. Hmmmm, outdoors in Nevada at the end of July. Wasn't it going to be hot? Even more important, what would I wear if I decided to go. Then I kind of put it in my mind that I wasn't going to go. Why? Well, it seemed that there was a lot of negative discussion about the man she was marrying when Tyson and I were visiting my family a few weeks ago. Earlier this evening, I was driving to Boston Market when I realized something very important. I was thinking about my sister, Nikki's wedding and everything that was said about it by my family and the fact that I had already decided not to go. Something clicked in my head that I overlooked when I noticed the wedding invitation. The invitation was addressed to Christopher Espersen and Tyson. WOW, she invited Tyson. I always thought that Nikki was the least supportive of me being gay and now here she was inviting my boyfriend to her wedding. I realized that she was being supportive of me without agreeing with me. Isn't that what family is all about? At that point, I realized that I could still be supportive even if I didn't agree with a person. I am not saying that I am not agreeing with my sister's decision to get married because I have never met her fiance. I think all members of my family should be supportive of her even if they don't agree with her decision. So, I am going to go to her wedding and hope Tyson can go with me! She is my sister after all.

Happy Birthday Anastasia!

Happy Birthday to the oldest boxer, Annie! She is 4 today! Is she precious? Of course she is!

Day from Hell: Laundry Day!

I would consider today HELL Day. Why HELL day? Well, it is the day that I spend doing laundry. For a lot of people, they don't spend the ENTIRE day doing laundry, but I do. Yes, ALL DAY. I have about 12 to 15 loads of laundry today. It would be easier to do a couple loads a day but I have 3 other roommates doing laundry which makess this hard to do. Ok, I don't mind doing laundry all day because it gives me an excuse to stay in bed, watch tv or movies and just be lazy! If it wasn't for the laundry, days like this would be great.
I did some more shopping today, online. I bought a nice white ventless fireplace to put in the guest bath. (I am no longer calling it my bathroom since I will soon have the master bedroom with it's own bath) I am looking forward to doing all this remodeling. This bathroom looks great now but it is going to AMAZING once the remodeling is done. I am going to use black river rock in the shower and on some of the walls with grey or black slate tile on the floor. It will pop with great white crown molding and large white baseboards, modern white sink & Toilet, new light fixtures and new faucets for the sink and the shower. The bathtub will get a beautiful new finish with a shiny white resurfacing treatment.
Yesterday, John (roommate), Tyson and myself had a yard sale. We did pretty good. Got rid of a lot of stuff we had cluttering the house and shed. I also brought some stuff from my job home to sell. Unfortunately that stuff didn't sell too well. So, I have about 30 lamps and 6 dinner tables sitting outside with no home. Maybe I will leave them outside with a sign that says free. People love FREE! I just want them GONE.
Tyson and I went out to the bar last night to meet his roommate and some of his friends. We were there for about an hour and his friends never showed up, so we left. They were running VERY late and the bar was dead and lame. Amsterdam is not what it used to be. Oh well, I don't like going out anyway. On the way home, we stopped at Taco Bell and go something to eat. Poor Tyson, his stomach was giving him problems and the Taco Bell didn't help. Can you say Barf?
We woke up LATE about 9:30 and I took Tyson home so I can do my laundry.
Well, that is all for now, glad to keep you caught up to what is going on!

Butter on a Bald Monkey

Ok, the title is a bit weird but Tyson created it. Couldn't think of something on my own so Delicious T helped me out. Today Tyson and I went to breakfast at the gay egg. It was good but my french toast was TOO eggy. Why don't you spell egg "agg" just like it is pronounced? Guess it will be one of those questions like which came first, the chicken or the egg. Yeah, I am a deep thinker. After breakfast, we came back to my place and Tyson napped while I watched tennis. Afterwards, we went Coppenhagen so I could show Tyson the leather sectional that I have and found some amazing stuff that we wanted to buy. We followed that up by some shopping at macy's where I replenished my cologne, added a pair of shoes to my already enormous collection and Tyson got a nice Summer coat. He makes the jacket HOT! I was also introduced to Sarah Silverman and Jesus is Magic. I thought my humor was jacked up, but she has me beat. It's not for the faint of heart or black folk....... LOL.... or Chinese, or old people, or Mexicans or people with AIDS or survivors of the Holocaust. Basically it offeneded everyone! You should definitely go rent it! I am getting tired and hungry so it's time to go get something to eat! That's all for today. BYE

The Road To Owning My First Home!

This is my first entry to my blog. I hope to let you all in to my life. I am not good at emailing or calling, so maybe this will be a better tool. I will try to focus on Tyson (my boyfriend), work, the process of buying a home that has just started and all the other aspects of my life that I think you might find interesting. HERE GOES:
Today I bought my first purchase as a to-be-home owner; a lawn mower! Yep, I bought a lawn mower. I went to several places looking for an electric mower and finally found one at Lowes. I couldn't believe that Home Depot considered lawn mowers to be out of season now. Ok, Whatever. I brought it home, put it in the back yard and left it. Not even going to use it today. It's too hot. I wasn't even going to get out of bed today. This is going to be my alone day. Just laying in bed watching movies and tennis was on schedule.
I am getting very excited and nervous about buying a home. So many things to do which equals a lot of money being spent. Last night Tyson and I went shopping at Ikea and got some ideas for the kitchen. I think we are going to get our cabinets there as a temporary plan until I can go "all out" on an expensive kitchen. I am going to try to convince him on blue or red cabinets with a concrete countertop. Very fun, modern, and young, just like the both of us. Can't wait until the full process is underway.
